ALDE: Dancing, Literally and Figuratively

He'd kept to his quarters most of the time, thus far. Qamala frowned thoughtfully as she pulled food and other comestibles from the data cards in the galley. They were only two days into this trip and she wasn't really sure what Lawrence Bourne the Third would like to eat, but certain he needed more than alcohol in his system if he was going to survive this trip.
NYK: Preview

GM: This is about as dark as I expect the tone to get in the New York Knights campaign. Both Mustang Sally and Action Man have full writeups available for you to view on the campaign wiki.
ALDE: Not a Volunteer

OOC: Quick and dirty, since everybody lese seems to have some kind of blog post as an intro. But it should give you an idea of what you're dealing with. :)
The repeller nodes kicked up an oblong wave of gravel as the grav car braked hard and stopped in the circular driveway of the estate. The mansion, done in modern style but retaining an elegance from colonial times, sat like a old man in an easy chair in the middle of the forested acreage. It was dark, even with the exterior torch effects lit up, as if it found the moonlight an unwelcome bother.
Rekindling

Jack's bare feet paced back and forth in front of the twenty-foot wide windows that formed most of the southeast wall of his loft apartment. He was in his long white terri robe, drying his hair with a towel in one hand and carrying a phone receiver in the other. Every once in a while he'd stop, look at the phone, gaze out the window onto Benedict Fountain Park far below across Tremont Street, and then continue pacing.
Fools In The Rain

Amrita Singh exited Mile High Center on Broadway, red hair flying in the heightened breeze. It was late summer in Denver, hot without being humid and windy as every city of skyscrapers was. There was a rainstorm coming, all the plants in the vicinity could sense it and were in fact thirsty for it. She smiled; a summer rain would make everyone feel better, and there might even be one of the city's famous double rainbows afterward.
Gaining Perspective

The reception was so clear and the sound reproduction so natural that it sounded like Morgan was right there in the suit with him.
**Systems check, please.**
Jack Tyler’s eyes danced across the various readouts in his helmet visor’s HUD. He’d gotten to know them very well over the past few weeks.
“Uh, power is green, main systems green, secondary systems…I’ve got a red light on the, looks like the chromatography thing.”
Comments/Input Welcome

Given that Flirtin' Wth Disaster is the first campaign to get rolling here (no pun intended), I've enabled comments for the story pages. It might help us as a gaming community to use the campaign as a learning experience for what works well and what doesn't.
Feel free to comment or give input. Remember: what doesn't kill us makes us stronger, but it still hurts like hell.
Cars with machineguns...and maybe flamethrowers...

Forgive the presumption of my gettin' bloggy wit it while being a newb here, but I figure that if it was rude the mods wouldn't allow it to begin with, so...
I've put up a call for players in the appropriate forum. The campaign is called Flirtin' With Disaster, and the game is Car Wars Hero. Yes, I've converted the Car Wars setting into Hero terms and I'm running a PBeM game over at Worldmaker's sandbox.
There is already some local talent involved. Worldmaker and Songstress are both playing, and I'm very excited at the prospect of GM-ing for what is shaping up to be an incredibly talented roster of players.
But I'm missing a key character role: a driver. Details are in the forum post. Check it out.
